Beginning on Friday, June 16, traffic on Elmhurst Road crossing over I-90 is scheduled to be shifted into the new diverging diamond configuration. The scheduled is as follows:
- After the morning rush hour on Friday June 16, lane closures and traffic stops will be scheduled to direct traffic crossing I-90 on the Elmhurst Road Bridge into the new diverging diamond configuration. Drivers traveling in both directions will be guided onto the opposite sides of the bridge through new signalized intersections.

- On Monday, June 19, the two ramps carrying traffic to and from the east are scheduled to reopen.

Lock Your Doors to Prevent Crime
Elk Grove Village and surrounding communities have experienced recent burglaries to motor vehicles as well as vehicle theft. While these crimes aren’t anything new, you might be surprised to learn that most burglaries involving vehicles have no forced entry.
Unlike what is portrayed on television and in the movies, kicked in doors, pulled locks, and smashed windows are not the norm. The thief prefers to work in the quiet and will walk down entire blocks looking for an open car door instead of just breaking glass.
Click here to visit the Village website for additional tips b to help reduce your vulnerability to burglary and theft.
For any additional questions or concerns, feel free to call the Crime Prevention Division at (847) 357-4152.
