Elk Grove Village Year in Review

2017 was an exciting and excellent year for the Village. Here are some of the Village's accomplishments:

  • The Village's business occupancy rate is at an historic 97%!
  • 121 Businesses moved to or expanded within Elk Grove Village.
  • In 2017, the Village experienced a $175 million investment in new and existing Data Centers.
  • The Village helped launch Next Level Northwest, a business accelerator as well as ENCLAVE, a learning & earning center for entrepreneurs.
  • The Village Board approved agreements for a new 85-acre Elk Grove Technology Park, planned to include over 1 million square feet of clean, high-tech industrial, with over $1 billion investment estimated for the development.

Internet Exchange Purchase Location Now at Village Hall

Elk Grove Village is now offering an Internet Exchange Purchase Location!  The concept of these locations is to provide a safe place for online buyers and sellers to exchange their goods and money. The Village offers two “Meet- Up" spots--one located within the police department lobby and one in the Police Department Parking lot.

Next time you need to meet up to buy or sell online, feel free to utilize use either of these new internet exchange purchase locations at 901 Wellington Ave--just look for the Internet Exchange Purchase Location signage.  Click here to find out more about this initiative.

Biesterfield Public Works Facility Ribbon-Cutting

On Thursday, January 11--less than seven months after the ground-breaking took place--the Village held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the completion of the rehabilitated Biesterfield Public Works Facility.  The rehabilitation has created a truly multi-purpose facility on the west side of the Village. The updates included a complete facade overhaul of the existing 37-year old building, the addition of a salt storage facility to serve the western portion of the community, additional storage space, interior renovations to improve operations, landscape enhancements and parking lot rehabilitation.

The Biesterfield Public Works Facility was one of the first projects planned as part of the Elk Grove 2025 Long-Range Infrastructure Plan.
