Excessive Heat Watch

The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued an Excessive Heat Watch, which is in effect from Friday morning through Saturday evening.  An extended period combining excessive heat, high humidity, intense sunshine and little or no nighttime relief from the heat buildup will set the stage for life-threatening atmospheric conditions this coming weekend in the Chicagoland Area. 

The Elk Grove Village Police Department at 901 wellington Ave. will be open 24/7 as a cooling center for the public. Please stay hydrated and seek a cooling center as needed. Additional cooling centers include:
