Independence Day Traffic Safety Campaign Results
Elk Grove Village Police made 2 felony arrests and issued 343 seat belt citations during the recent Fourth of July Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over and Click It or Ticket Traffic Safety Campaign.
During this campaign, the department conducted five day-time enforcement zones and six night-time enforcement zones at various locations within the Village. All our enforcement efforts resulted in:
- 333 Traffic stops
- 343 Seatbelt Violations
- 12 Child seat violations
- 2 Felony arrests
- 2 Suspended/revoked license arrests
- 3 Uninsured Motorists
- 7 Hazardous moving violation citations
- 12 Cell phone/video device citations
- 4 Drug arrests
- 4 Alcohol violations
- 3 Unlicensed drivers
- 37 Various equipment/registration citations.
The recent law enforcement effort was funded by federal traffic safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation as part of the statewide Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over and Click It or Ticket campaigns.
