Labor Day Click It or Ticket Safety Campaign Results

The Labor Day Click it or Ticket Safety Campaign began on August 20th and ended on September 4th. During that time period, the Elk Grove Village Police Department conducted five daytime enforcement zones and six nighttime enforcement zones. The Police Department’s enforcement efforts resulted in:

  • 360 Traffic stops

  • 348 Seat belt violations (185 Front Seat and 163 Rear Seat)

  • 6 Child seat violations

  • 1 DUI arrest

  • 1 Suspended/revoked license arrests

  • 5 Uninsured motorists

  • 10 Hazardous moving violation citations

  • 21 Cell phone/video device citations

  • 5 Drug arrests

  • 51 Various equipment/registration citations

Additionally, the Elk Grove Village Police Department also participated in a roadside safety checkpoint on August 31st. The evening’s enforcement efforts resulted in:

  • 1 DUI arrest

  • 12 Seatbelt violations             

  • 1 Child seat violation

  • 2 Unlicensed driver arrests

  • 5 Suspended/revoked license arrests

  • 6 Uninsured motorists

  • 1 Drug arrest

  • 27 Various equipment/registration citations

The recent law enforcement effort was funded by the Illinois Department of Transportation as part of the statewide Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over and Click It or Ticket campaigns.
