Elk Grove Village requires engineering permits when any work is performed on the exterior of a building. This work may include parking lot repairs, sidewalk repairs, apron and driveway repairs, regrading green space, constructing or repairing water services, storm sewers or sanitary sewers. Permit submittal requirements
All permit applications must be accompanied by the following: A plat of survey, a plan sheet highlighting all work to be performed (provide as much information as possible), and a signed contract proposal or an engineer’s estimate of cost. Larger plans such as parking lot reconstructions or additions, site work relating to building additions or remodels, etc. require a submittal by a licensed civil engineer.
