Elk Grove Community Service is the Office that is available to address the social services needs of residents. Some of the Services that are available are:
Information and Referral:
Information and direction on a broad spectrum of subjects is available. Services for Seniors, Persons with Disabilities, Families, Children, Mental Health Issues, Housing, Benefits, Legal Assistance, Medical Assistance and Volunteer Opportunities.
Limited, one time financial assistance is available for residents facing eviction, utility disconnection and other limited financial hardships. Funding is provided through the Salvation Army and the Elk Grove Interfaith Council. A personal interview and review of financial criteria are required.
The Elk Grove Village Food Pantry is a program provided by the Elk Grove Presbyterian Church. The Pantry is located at 600 E. Elk Grove Boulevard, Elk Grove Village. Persons wishing to make donations to the Pantry may do so by calling ahead to 847-437-2878. If you are in need of assistance with providing food for your family, please call the Community Service Office at 847-357-4120 to schedule an in person assessment appointment.
Special holiday programs are available to qualified residents. Food and gifts are provided by donors.
Back to School Programs:
School Supplies are provided to low income families.
Home Repair and Maintenance Programs:
Assistance with application to available programming that addresses the maintenance of residential homes for low income seniors, person with disabilities and families with children.
Assistance with filling for Public Aid benefits, Social Security Benefits, and Circuit Breaker.
