The services provided by the Public Works Department are essential for maintaining a secure and modern lifestyle.  Overall, the Department provides a wide scope of services such as street and sidewalk maintenance, spring branch collection, water distribution, fall leaf collection, parkway tree care, and sewer collection.

Elk Grove Village is a recognized "Tree City, USA" due to the urban forestry program administered by the Department of Public Works.  Over 7 million gallons of Lake Michigan water are delivered to the Village each day from the City of Chicago.

Our goal is to preserve public improvements by investing in our infrastructure before the on-set of major problems.  Each division of Public Works is dedicated to working as a team to ensure our residents receive the highest quality of services today and in the future.
