PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 8-2:D of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Elk Grove Village, the Board of Appeals of the Village will conduct a public hearing at the hour of 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at the Charles J. Zettek Municipal Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village, Illinois, to consider the petition of Ric King, on behalf of School District 54 Board of Education, for variations from the provisions of the Elk Grove Village Zoning Ordinance No. 2410 as it pertains to setbacks and floor area ratio in residential zoning districts.

Section 3-7: D (1) restricts principal structures from being located within any required front yard area, side yard area or rear yard area. The petitioner is requesting to construct an addition that will encroach approximately nine feet and ten inches (9’-10”) into the required twenty (20’) foot rear yard setback.

Additionally, section 7-1 Schedule of Bulk Yard Requirements and Regulations establishes a maximum floor area ratio of .4. The petitioner is requesting to construct an addition which will increase the floor area ratio to .48.
