Record Attendance at the Elk Grove Mid-Summer Classics Concert Series
Elk Grove Village wrapped up its 11th annual “Unity within the Community” Mid-Summer Classics Concert Series with a record attendance of 78,000 throughout the month of July—a record high.
The 2019 concert series kicked off with a 4th of July Concert performed by Melissa Etheridge, to Tuesday night evenings on the Village Green with Dennis DeYoung, The Commodores, Wynonna and the Big Noise. The concert series ended with a performance by Night Ranger. This year’s performers and high attendance continues Elk Grove Village’s reputation for offering premiere entertainment to residents.
This concert series is free to attend, due in part to the unique partnership and support of the Elk Grove Park District, the Elk Grove Public Library, Elk Grove High School and our corporate supporters. Their generous support helps the Village set the standard for the highest quality in community entertainment.
“The presence and atmosphere at the concerts is truly remarkable,” said Mayor Craig B. Johnson, “The entire community looks forward to Tuesday’s in July. People come out to enjoy the concerts and gather with family, friends and neighbors creating memories and a sense of community that will last for many years to come.”
A special thanks goes out to all volunteers and staff for their efforts to keep these concerts safe and enjoyable for the community.
We hope that everyone enjoyed the concerts. Please check on the Village website at www.elkgrove.org for next year’s lineup as information becomes available.
