Non-Emergency Village Offices Closed for President's Day
All non-emergency Village offices will be closed on Monday, February 17, in observance of President's Day. Regular office hours will resume the following Tuesday, February 18.
Town Hall Meeting
Mayor Johnson is hosting a Town Hall Meeting to take and answer questions on issues raised by the unknown circulators of mailings and robocalls.

Village Hall – 901 Wellington Ave
In order to give residents the best opportunity to access the meeting, and ask questions, seating in the Council Chambers will be limited to Village residents, unless additional room is available for the general public. Residents are asked to bring a form of photo ID in order to show proof of residency.
Carnival of Exceptional Character
The Community Character Coalition of Elk Grove (CCC) is holding its annual Carnival of Exceptional Character on Saturday, February 29, 2020. This popular event is free to attend and includes free food, games, prizes, and fun for the whole family!

Elk Grove Park District Pavilion, 1000 Wellington Ave.
As families travel through booths with carnival-style games and activities, they will learn about the wonderful community service groups that help make Elk Grove Village an exceptional community with exceptional character.
Free games and prizes include: Ring Toss, Bozo Buckets, Bounce House, Strike-A-Light, Bocce Ball, Dog Tags, and more! Free food will be served while supplies last.
Police Department is accepting Police Officer Applications
The Elk Grove Village Police Department is now accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. All applications must be submitted through applytoserve.com by Thursday, March 5, 2020 at 4:00 p.m.
Faxed, e-mailed, mailed or dropped off applications will not be accepted. Only one application per person, per testing cycle will be accepted. Please be advised that technical support is only available during normal business hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Early Voting: March 2 – March 15 at Village Hall
The Elk Grove Village Hall (901 Wellington Ave.) is a Cook County Early Voting site. Early voting dates and hours for the March 17, 2020 Primary Election are as follows:
March 2 – 7 (Mon – Sat), 9:00 a.m. – 5p.m.
March 8 (Sunday), 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
March 9- 13 (Mon – Fri), 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
March 14 (Saturday), 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
March 15 (Sunday), 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Residents of Cook County can check on voter information and register to vote online by visiting the Cook County website. Please contact the Village Clerk’s Office at (847) 357-4040 with any questions.
Elk Grove Youth Committee Scholarships
The Elk Grove Youth Committee, in partnership with the Village of Elk Grove and the Elk Grove Parks Foundation, will be issuing seven (7) $1,000 scholarship awards to recognize High School Seniors for their outstanding leadership, community participation, and service in the community.
Application Deadline: Monday, May 4, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.
Applications are available in the high school College & Career Center offices and also on the Village website. Completed applications must be submitted to Village Hall (Administration Counter). Winners will be notified by May 29, 2020. If you have any questions, please call (847)357-4030.
