President Biden has proclaimed all United States flags to be flown at half-staff to honor President Carter who passed away on December 29, 2024. Flags will remain at half-staff until January 28, 2025.  

In accordance with Governor Pritzker’s office, all flags will be flown at half-staff at Village facilities from sunrise Saturday, December 28 until sunset on Friday, January 3 in honor of Illinois State Police Trooper Clay Carns who tragically died in the line of duty on December 23, 2024.
