The Village is extending the Fall Leaf Collection Program for all Village residents to the week of December 1. Please follow the program rules below to participate in this special extended leaf collection.
- Place your leaves on the street by 7:00 a.m. on Monday, December 1. This deadline applies to all households throughout the Village (regardless of your leaf zone). Leaves placed after the deadline will not be collected.
- Please note that all leaves will NOT be collected on Monday, December 1. Depending on the volume leaves placed at the curb by Village residents, the extended leaf collection may take several days to complete.
- Only rake leaves into the street. Grass, branches, and other yard waste are NOT permitted and will damage Village equipment.
- Place leaves in a continuous row on the pavement approximately 2 feet from the curb.
- Do not place leaves on state or county roadways, nor on the following Village streets: Tonne Road, Elk Grove Boulevard, Rev. Morrison Boulevard, J.F. Kennedy Boulevard, Biesterfield Road, and Wise Road. Residents along these streets are asked to place leaves in the parkway.
- In the event of rain, you should still place your leaves in the street. Leaves will be collected as soon as possible.
- In the event of snow, leaf collection will be rescheduled for another day.
Please note that your leaves may not be collected on Monday, December 1. The Public Works Department will make one pass down all streets in the Village and it may take several days for all the leaves to be collected depending on the volume of leaves. If you still have leaves after this collection, you can bring them to the leaf dumpster locations below by December 12.
