Hello, this is Mayor Craig Johnson.

Due to this weekend’s snowstorm and the chance of more snow coming, the Village is unfortunately having to cancel this week’s special extended leaf collection. With the yard waste sites closing, we will not be able to offer another leaf collection this year.

However, residents who still have leaves to dispose of may bring them to the leaf dumpsters located at the Public Works Facility at 450 East Devon Avenue, and the Public Works Biesterfield Facility at 1635 Biesterfield Road up to December 12. Please do not use plastic bags.

To help residents out next spring, the Village will offer a spring leaf collection once the weather warms. Details on future leaf collections will be provided in early 2026.
