Public Works Open House
Come by Public Works to enjoy a free, fun event for the whole family! See Public Works up close with interactive exhibits like Touch-A-Truck or go for a ride on a street sweeper, bucket truck, or mini train. 2026 Village Construction Projects
The Village is pleased to announce the capital improvements planned for this year’s construction season. This year, the Street Resurfacing Program consists of resurfacing 9.3 miles of streets, pavement patching, rehabilitation of curbs and sidewalks as needed, as well as improvements to accessible curb ramps. Other major projects include the Tonne Road reconstruction, sanitary manhole rehabilitation, water and sewer generator project, the Arlington Heights Road Pedestrian Bridge construction, and Higgins Road Resurfacing.

Yard Waste Season Has Begun!
Yard Waste stickers are available for purchase from the Finance Department front counter for use during the new yard waste season which began on April 15 and runs through December 15.
Stickers are also available at: Jewel Osco (20 W. Biesterfield Rd and 1151 Roselle Rd), Miller Industrial Hardware Store (621 E. Devon Ave), and Ace Hardware (821 Nerge Rd)
Each sticker costs $3.00 and should be affixed to each paper bag or can for your disposal of leaves, brush, grass clippings, garden waste, and tree and brush trimmings. For more information about yard waste pick-up service, please visit the Village Website.
Online Scheduling for Permit Inspections Now Available
You can now schedule inspections for your permit projects through the Village’s online permitting portal.
Simply log in to your account, find your permit, and click “Schedule Inspection”. Inspections can be scheduled up to two weeks in advance and require at least a 24-hour notice. Access the permit portal through the Village Website.
