At the Elk Grove Village Board Meeting on August 11, a few residents asked questions about data centers and the WGN property along Rohlwing Road.

The WGN property is the site of a potential data center development, which the Village annexed after partnering with neighboring residents to prevent a more intensive, truck-heavy industrial use from being developed outside of Village control.

At the Board Meeting, Mayor Johnson provided background on how the Village approached this development to minimize impact to adjacent homes, as well as the Village’s hopes for the site.
