Education In Elk Grove Village

Elk Grove Village is home to 9 elementary schools and 5 junior high schools. 7 of those elementary and 2 junior high schools are located within two public school districts, School District 54 and Community Consolidated School District 59. In addition, there are also two private elementary schools, Queen of the Rosary Catholic School and Sterling Central that also offer junior high school education. Prairie Lake school, on the other hand, is a private educational institution serving junior high and high school students.

Elk Grove Village’s high school students attend one of two public schools. Students living west of Route 53/I-290 attend Conant High School (Township High School District 211) located in Hoffman Estates. Students living east of Route 53/I-290 attend Elk Grove High School (Township High School District 214) located in Elk Grove Village.

Elk Grove residents and employers are served by a number of local college and universities. Elk Grove residents are able to attend Harper College, which offers two-year degrees and technical degrees and programs. In addition, Elk Grove Village is also home to a satellite campus for Dominican University’s Masters in Business Administration program. The satellite campus is located on the ground of Alexian Brother Medical Center. Other nationally recognized four-year programs are available through DePaul University, Northern Illinois University, Northwestern University, Roosevelt University, University of Chicago, and University of Illinois at Chicago.
