On July 17, Elk Grove Village turns 70 and we’re celebrating all year long! The anniversary fun won’t be limited to just one day, with special events, community challenges, service initiatives, and concerts happening throughout the year.

One of the biggest highlights is a special 70th Birthday Concert on July 17, added to the Mid-Summer Classics Concert Series. Foreigner will take the stage, followed by an unforgettable fireworks show. Residents can also join in a summer-long community scavenger hunt, complete with a grand prize at the end.

Giving back is also a big part of the celebration. The Village will host a “1956 Food Drive Challenge,” encouraging residents to donate to the Elk Grove Township Food Pantry with a goal of collecting 1,956 food items in honor of the year Elk Grove Village was incorporated. In partnership with community organizations, the Village will also co-host four “Roll Up Your Sleeves and Save a Life” blood drives, with hopes of making this our most successful year for donations yet.
