Project Description

The Brantwood Avenue Water Main project is slated to begin on September 22, 2025. The work includes installation of approximately 3,600 feet of 8” water main and water service connections along Brantwood Avenue from Arlington Heights Road to John F. Kennedy Boulevard, including Brantwood Place and Brantwood Lane. The project also includes replacement of fire hydrants, water valves, and valve boxes. The roadway will be patched and the surface will be milled and overlayed following the water main installation. 

Project Updates:

November 14, 2025: This week, the paving contractor milled the road in preparation for resurfacing and completed the asphalt patch for the water main installation trench.  Next week, the contractor will resurface the roadway and begin landscape restoration.

November 7, 2025: This week, Bluewater Construction connected the new water main to the existing water system at Keswick Road, Grassmere Road, Penrith Avenue, and Shelley Road. They also replaced any storm sewer lines running over the new water main. Concrete curb, sidewalk, and aprons were removed and poured back.  Next week, the paving contractor will mill the road and pave the asphalt patch in the water main trench.

October 31, 2025: This week, Bluewater Construction completed transferring the residential water services to the new main. They also connected the new Brantwood water main to the existing water system at Arlington Heights Road. Next week, the contractor will connect the new main at Keswick Road, Grassmere Road, Penrith Avenue, and Shelley Road to the existing system. Concrete restoration of the curb and sidewalk will begin as well.

October 17, 2025: This week, Bluewater Construction completed installing the water main along the Brantwood mainline to Arlington Heights Road. They also replaced the storm sewer pipes crossing the new water main. Next week, Bluewater Construction will begin transferring residential services to the new water main. Residents will experience slight interruptions in water service when their line is being transferred. 

October 10, 2025: This week, Bluewater Construction installed the water main along the Brantwood mainline to Brantwood Court. They also pressure tested the new water main up to Penrith Avenue and chlorinated the line. Next week, Bluewater Construction will finish installing water main up to Arlington Heights Road and may begin transferring services to the new water main.

October 3, 2025: This week, Bluewater Construction started installing the water main starting from John F. Kennedy Boulevard heading north. Next week, Bluewater Construction will continue installing water main heading north. 

September 26, 2025: This week, Bluewater Construction milled the trench where the water main line will be installed along the road. Water main pipe was also delivered and strung out for installation. Next week, the water main installation process will begin with the tie-in and digging at John F. Kennedy Boulevard. 

September 19, 2025: Next week, work will begin on the Brantwood Avenue Water Main project. The project will replace the watermain along Brantwood Avenue, between John F. Kennedy Boulevard and Arlington Heights Road, including Brantwood Court and Brantwood Place. The contractor, Bluewater Construction, will begin by milling the road where the new water main will be installed.
