  • Start Date: July 8, 2020
  • Est. Completion Date: TBA
  • Project Cost: $794,936
  • Contractor: A Lamp Construction
  • Project Manager: Jeff Maczko, P.E.
  • Location: Intersections of Meacham Road at Nerge Road, Mallard Crossing, Biesterfield Road, and Texas Street; Along  Biesterfield/Wise Road from Schooner Lane to David Lane.
  • Project Impacts: At the intersections along Meacham Road, sidewalk corners will be reconstructed to ADA compliance.  This includes reconstructed slopes and widths on the sidewalk, as well as the location and placement of pedestrian push buttons for the traffic signals.  Also, new illuminated street name signs will be installed at these intersections.  Along the Wise/Biesterfield Road corridor, a new eight-foot shared use path will be constructed west of Home Avenue to extend the current shared use path to the Village’s western limits.  This will tie into the existing on road bike lane on Schooner Lane.  Six-foot sidewalk will replace the existing sidewalk along Biesterfiled Road from David Lane that is heavily used by walkers to Link School.  During construction, sidewalks will be closed to pedestrians to accommodate construction.  Detour signs will direct pedestrians to alternate safe walking routes.
