Roadway Improvements - Nerge Road

Project Description 

Resurfacing of Nerge Road (Devon Avenue to Mitchell Trail). The work will consist of drainage structure repairs, pavement patching, milling and resurfacing of HMA surface course, curb and sidewalk rehabilitation, pavement markings, and pedestrian signal modifications at the intersection of Rohlwing Road and Nerge Road. Construction is anticipated to begin this spring.

Construction Updates

07/10/20: This week, K-Five Construction continued work on the thermoplastic crosswalks and concrete medians. Next week, final pavement markings and reflective pavement marker installation is expected to begin. As this project is scheduled to be completed by the end of July, daily lane closures along Nerge Road should be expected for the project’s duration.

07/02/20: This week, K-Five Construction began the placement of permanent pavement markings and the installation of crosswalks and medians. This work will continue into next week and is scheduled to be completed by the end of July. Daily lane closures along Nerge Road should be expected for the project’s duration.

06/26/20: Next week, K-Five Construction will place permanent pavement markings and begin working on the decorative crosswalk and median installations.  Rain showers prevented this work from taking place this week as originally scheduled.  The contractor also continues to water the sod restoration daily. This project is scheduled to be completed by the end of July, daily lane closures along Nerge Road should be expected for the project’s duration.
