Project Updates (3-26-19)
The following letter was distributed to businesses abutting ditches included in the 2019 Ditch Maintenance Program.
Dear Village Business Owner or Employee:
Over the last 5 years, the Village has invested heavily in the Business Park drainage ditches to improve storm water conveyance during storm events. In effort to keep the ditches clean and free of overgrowth, the Village will be performing vegetation clearing and landscape restoration along the ditch adjacent to your property. This project will begin in late March 2019.
The Contractor will be working in various areas throughout the Business Park over the course of this project. Generally, the contractor will be working from the northwest to the southeast across the Business Park. A representative from the Village or the Contractor will make in-person contact with you if there are any concerns along your private property. The project is anticipated to be completed by the end of June 2019.
Our goal is to complete this project with minimum disruption to our business community. We will do our best to keep your inconvenience to a minimum. Construction updates can be viewed on the Village’s website at www.elkgrove.org/construction. Additionally, you may sign-up on the Village’s website for construction e-notifications, which provide project updates for construction projects occurring throughout the Village.
We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding during the vital infrastructure improvement. If you have any questions or concerns, you may contact the Public Works Department at 847-734-8800.
