The Elk Grove Youth Committee, in partnership with the Village of Elk Grove and the Elk Grove Parks Foundation, will be issuing seven (7) $1,000 scholarship awards; five (5) by the Village of Elk Grove and two (2) by the Elk Grove Parks Foundation to recognize High School Seniors for their outstanding leadership, community participation, and service within the community.
The Village of Elk Grove is able to offer three (3) additional scholarship awards thanks to the generosity of Mikerphone Brewing, who donated proceeds from their 2018 craft beer festival to support youth scholarships in the community.

The Frank J. Czarnik Memorial Scholarship Application is now available. Six $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to residents of Elk Grove Village.
To be eligible for one of these scholarships, the applicant must meet the following criteria:
- Be a bonafide resident of Elk Grove Village;
- Be a graduating High School Senior who will be attending a college or university next fall; and
- The applicant must have actively participated in any school and/or community programs involving and reflecting volunteerism and leadership.

This scholarship program is based on the CHARACTER COUNTS!SM pillar of Citizenship. It honors four young citizens of Elk Grove Village who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our nation in the wars that followed the September 11, 2001 attacks on our nation. The four soldiers are: James S. Cronin, Phillip E. Frank, John T. Olson, and Adriana N. Salem.
One of four $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to a student planning to attend a college or university, a junior college, or a trade/vocational school. Applicant must be an Elk Grove Village resident and be a graduating high school senior beginning their college studies in the Fall Semester.
